About Me

- Hi, I’m Matt Lambert, the face and sound of Lambo Sax. Originally from Yorkshire, where I started playing the saxophone as an eight year old, I am now London based having graduated in Jazz saxophone at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in Greenwich.

Highlights of my career to date include performing as part of the Lazy Snacks band at the El Dorado and Gone Wild Festivals, supporting Scouting for Girls at the Priory Festival and playing in the National Youth Jazz Orchestra tour with Strictly vocalist Tommy Blaize. I have also performed jazz gigs at established London jazz clubs such as the Vortex Jazz Club and the legendary Ronnie Scott’s in Soho.

Musical Beginnings - 2007

I started piano at age 6, having lessons locally and I was mesmerised by the sound of the keys under my fingertips, opening the door to a lifelong musical journey.

Dicovering Saxophone - 2009

I continued my musical journey by taking up the saxophone at the age of 8. Surrounded by a creative family, I started playing every evening, further immersing myself in the world of music.

Discovering Jazz - 2013

I began exploring the world of jazz after achieving grade 8 piano and saxophone. It was here where I discovered a deep passion for this genre.
